Milwaukee - Things to Do

Water Street - Night Life

The most popular entertainment district in Milwaukee.  A variety of dining, nightlife and entertainment choices are available visiting this three block area in the heart of downtown.  Its proximity to major hotels, entertainment facilities, theatre, arts and lakefront events makes Water Street the place to be in Milwaukee.

Head over to the library and dig up any old city directory. If you flip to the page listing businesses on Water Street, you'll find that this main downtown artery has always been home to dozens on taverns and, often, rowdy and raucous nightlife. If you think Water Street is crazy these days, you should have seen it under the administration of Mayor (all the time rosey) Rose. The current "watering holes" include: O'Danny's Pub, Oak Barrel, Mel's On Water, Stout Bros., Fitzgibbons Pub, The Lodge, McGillycuddys, Rosie's Waterworks, 1225 Water, Water Street Brewery, Harp Irish Pub , Brew City Bar-B-Q, and Sweeny's.

Holiday Lights Festival

The Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival is downtown Milwaukee's official holiday celebration beginning in mid-November and running through early January. Highlights include roofline lighting and street-level decorations throughout downtown Milwaukee, three downtown parks illuminated with amazing animated lighting displays, and free transportation and refreshments for visitors from downtown locations such as the Milwaukee Hilton City Center - the conference hotel.

The Holiday Lights Festival showcases the collaborative nature of downtown Milwaukee with many festival activities supported by downtown businesses. The Holiday Lights Festival is part of the larger "Genuine American Holidays" celebration throughout Milwaukee, led by the Greater Milwaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Miller Brewing Company - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Before 1883, beer originally was brewed and placed in kegs for distribution. Then, new technology allowed Miller Brewing to begin bottling its brew. By 1905, the brewery was producing and bottling six beers: Buffet, Muenchener, Pale, High Life, Porter and Malt Extract.

Although our commitment to quality hasn't faltered, a lot has changed since then. Miller Brewing now has an extensive and varying list of packaged beers - from Miller's world-renown Trademark Brands to delicious import beers from Australia, China and the Dominican Republic. Check out the extensive list of products brought to you by Miller Brewing Company.
